Hey doc is there an easy fix for a stripped out lag bolt on the bottom bracket for my older awning arm. Mine screw through the bracket that hold the awning arm. If your internal framing consists of aluminum or steel studs instead of wood supports you may have success simply going to a larger 5 16 lag screw as you ve suggested.
